Nationally exhibited artist featured at ENGIE
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Betsy DeFusco, local visual artist and Ohio State alum has been selected by ENGIE to display her artwork in the ENGIE suite in McCracken Power Plant on The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus.
DeFusco received a degree in Art Education from the University of Dayton and an MFA in Painting from The Ohio State University. Her work has been widely exhibited nationally and on display in a variety of galleries across the area.
In this recent body of work, DeFusco has chosen to combine elements of original oil paintings on paper with recent personal poetry. Her process includes painting thin layers of oil pigment, resulting in a bright and cheerful abstraction of emotions about nature.
“2020 has been a difficult year in so many ways, and hopefully my art can comfort people who view it, whether it be through my use of color and line, or my addition of haiku poetry to the images,” says DeFusco.
DeFusco’s work will be on display from October 2020 to January 2021.
